This fabric is free of any treatment. When used for any upholstery (or contract curtains) it must be treated with a suitable FR finish. For domestic upholstery, it may be used untreated over an FR interliner. Please contact Stanway Fabrics if you need the treatment to be arranged.
Most fabrics have a tendency to shrink, even those with a shrink resistant finish. We recommend a 5% allowance to cover the possible shrinkage from cleaning, treatments or atmospheric conditions. We recommend that only companies experienced in cleaning furnishing fabrics are used.
Dry clean only
Do not bleach
Do not tumble dry
Iron medium heat (2 dot)
Velvets generally come with a directional pile which can affect the appearance of the fabric depending on which way it is used. For upholstery, unless otherwise stated, the pile can crush leaving pressure marks. This is a natural feature that adds character to the piece of furniture.
